Be My Baby
“Never marry the one you can
live with, marry the one you
cannot live without.”
It’s been an amazing start to our journey as photographers at Hello Lovely. We really have been blown away at all the support!
Today we really wanted to share this beautiful family who we love and know well.
We thought it would be fun to start asking our amazing couples a few questions about how they met, and how life is with a little babe. Here’s Matt & Bayley with Miss Adelaide (who has the most incredible blue eyes!) and their Q&A with us!
What was your first impression of each other?
Bayley: This guy is cute and trying so hard to get my attention hahaha
Matt: She’s so pretty and I need to find something to break the ice to talk to her about. She was so quiet and softly spoken
Tell us your love story
Bayley and I met at church but I didn’t pluck up the courage to have a proper conversation with her until she was about to leave for Europe on her Contiki. We dated, then we didn’t and then we dated again and continued to learn more about each other while volunteering together twice a week at church. We got married in August 2021 and had our baby girl in October. We couldn’t be more in love with each other and her.
What’s parent life like?
Bayley: I love it! It’s hard but even more rewarding and now she’s at a great age where she is chatty and giggly but isn’t on the move yet so it’s great.
Matt: I love being a dad. I’m getting used to juggling work and parent life but working from home makes it easier to help out and spend a bit more time with Addie
What’s your favourite thing about being a parent?
Bayley: My favourite thing about being a mum is getting all the smiles and giggles and seeing parts of both Matt and I showing through her personality already
Matt: The big smiles she gives me when I get her up first thing in the morning. And then cuddles while we watch cartoons
Piece of advice for young parents:
Bayley: So many pieces of advice but make the most of those amazing moments and remember them in the moments you are struggling because they will pull you through and while there will be more hard times to come they seem to get easier and easier with each one.
Matt: Get a couple of other young parents around you. Someone you can talk about the hard stuff with but will cheer you on and support you
